Online HOA Voting and Board Elections

By BAB PropTech ·

Run polls, formal ballots and board elections in the app. Votes are counted on the server against the ballot’s rules, and every result stays on record.

What it does

Part What it does
Polls For the whole community or one building, with a quorum and a deadline. Yes, No and Abstain are added automatically.
Live quorum The card shows raw numbers, for example “1 of 16 units voted · quorum needs 8”. Closing shows the result or “Quorum Not Reached”.
Vote weighting One vote per person, per unit or by ownership share.
Formal ballots Each ballot is stamped with a jurisdiction profile that sets the minimum notice, quorum and weighting, enforced on the server. BAB includes a profile for Washington’s WUCIOA; quorum can be set to match your governing documents.
Board elections Self-nomination with a statement, a certified voter roll, results and receipts by notification and email, and a tabulation report PDF. Ties are reported, never broken silently.
Co-owners For a unit with several owners, the admin records each share and who votes for the unit.
Paper ballots Ballots received by mail, drop-off or proxy delivery are recorded alongside online votes.

FAQ

Can an owner change a vote?

Not on in-app polls. Washington formal ballots can be revoked, as that profile allows.

How is quorum shown?

In units, for example “1 of 16 units voted · quorum needs 8”.

Who votes for a unit with two owners?

The co-owner named in the written notice the admin records.

Can tenants vote?

Only where the ballot allows it; the Washington profile has a per-ballot switch for lessee voting.
